Day 1  SAN JOSE

Transfer from International Airport to your hotel in San José.

Overnight in San Jose.

Outside the arrivals area, look for our representative from Red Frog Travel who will be holding a placard with your last name on. Our driver will provide assistance with luggage and private transportation to the hotel in San Jose.

 

Day 2  SAN JOSE

Breakfast at your hotel in San José.

San José City Tour.

Overnight in San José.

San José City Tour (in the morning or afternoon, as your convenience).

This tour immerses you in the rich Costa Rican culture and history by experiencing the beautiful museums and historical sites of San José. It begins with an orientation and drive through the beautiful Sabana Park. Next, we will take a walking tour through the historic National Theater. Completed in 1897, the theater is a masterpiece in art and architecture. Afterwards we will visit one of the many unique museums of Costa Rica.

We will continue heading to the University of Costa Rica, the Supreme Court and various sites of interest. A brief stop will be made in a beautiful art craft shopping store allowing you to browse through it before returning to your hotel and why not, buy some souvenirs for those who are expecting you back at home.

Day 3 TORTUGUERO

Leave your hotel in the morning.

Admire the biodiversity of an astonishing protected area in Costa Rica as we drive by Braulio Carrillo National Park, a primary forest in 95% of its extension.

Have a taste of our delicious Costa Rican breakfast en route.

Be our special guest in a banana processing and packaging plant and learn more about one of Costa Rica's prime products (subject to availability).

Board a comfortable boat upon arrival to the port and let this extraordinarily exotic paradise enchant you, as you travel along the Tortuguero Canals.

Have a one-in-a-lifetime experience in this unique place surrounded by a great variety of flora and fauna of breathtaking beauty.

Enjoy a refreshing cocktail and a delicious Lunch as we welcome you to PACHIRA LODGE.

After lunch, we will visit the museum, the beach area an the small and picturesque town of tortuguero. A delightful dinner will be served upon arrival to the lodge. (B/L/D).

 

Day 04 TORTUGUERO

Discover Costa Rican flavors as you enjoy breakfast at PACHIRA LODGE.

Get ready to hike Tortuguero Hill or travel along the well known Tortuguero Canals and have the experience of your life in this unique paradise of magnificent flora and fauna.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge.

Take your time to enjoy our private trails, ride a boat through the canals or just relax.

OPTIONAL NIGHT TOUR: Walk on the beach and admire the green turtles nesting (July through September). (B/L/D).

 

Day 05 TORTUGUERO

Breakfast at the lodge.

Departure to San José.

Lunch en route.

Day 06 ARENAL

Our most popular tour! The Arenal Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Americas. From our observation point, you will feel the ground tremble and see the night sky explode with ash and lava in a natural display of fireworks. Next, we will visit the hot springs of the volcano, where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. At a convenient time after your arrival, we will treat you to a splendid dinner.

This is absolutely an evening you will not want to miss in Costa Rica!

On this tour we will also visit the town of Sarchi, well known for the beauty of the handcrafts that they produce. (Lunch and dinner included).

Day 07 ARENAL

Transfer from Arenal to Manuel Antonio, by shuttle.

Day 08 MANUEL ANTONIO

Breakfast at your hotel in Manuel Antonio.

Morning tour to Manuel Antonio National Park. (Closed on Mondays).

Manuel Antonio National Park Tour.

Manuel Antonio National Park is deservedly the most popular park in Costa Rica with beautiful white sand beaches surrounded by emerald waters and jungle. Our naturalist guides will explain the history and geography of the area as well as help you get the most of your visit, pointing out sloth, monkeys, iguanas, and a multitude of insects and birds during this very informative three hour walk.

 

 

Day 09 MANUEL ANTONIO

Breakfast at your hotel in Manuel Antonio.

Transfer from Manuel Antonio to San Jose, in the afternoon by shuttle.
